The history of bingo is long and wonderful

The Cyber Bingo Blogger is a bit of bingo historian. If you are new to the world of Internet bingo, you might be surprised to learn that the history of it stretches back to be 16th century.  It is believed to have been a derivation of an Italian Lotto played as a way to raise funds for the government.

From there, it spread across Europe and to America, where it was known as Beano.  At a county fair one day, a travelling salesman heard somebody call the name Bingo, instead of Beano and the modern game was born.  The salesman enlisted the help of a mathematics professor to help design more card combinations, and the game spread like wild beans across the world.

It is such a simple concept, but it grips so many people — is it the excitement, is it the social aspect of chat rooms, going out and meeting people, or is it just the opportunity for people to relax while potentially winning a little bit of money?  I don’t know, but I do know that if I join Cyber Bingo I get a £30 free bingo bonus when I deposit a tenner.  Cyber Bingo have been around for 15 years, which is a much shorter time than the game itself, but you can rest assured, that Cyber Bingo is a premium place to play Internet bingo.
