Christmas is getting real close, and if you’re inviting friends or family around your house you surely do not want to leave some nice dessert out of your menu..so pull those aprons out of your closets and get ready to prepare a Christmas Pound Cake for your guests, with the CyberBingo Team.
First off, make sure you have the following Ingredients:
3 cups granulated sugar
1 cup butter, softened
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 dash salt
1 carton (8 ounce size) dairy sour cream
1/2 cup apricot brandy or apricot nectar
1 teaspoon orange extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon rum flavoring
…and now, let’s get started!
Mix the granulated sugar and butter in a bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each one.
Stir the flour, soda and salt and add the sour cream, brandy or nectar and the flavorings. Then, add this mixture with the butter mixture above and beat until combined.
Grease a pan and put the mixture in. Bake for about 1.15hrs and then leave the cake to cool down.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar, and Voila! Your cake’s ready to be served and eaten!
